I am a qualified REPs 3 personal trainer and work in the Hythe (Kent) area, but can travel further afield to assist in personal training on a one-to-one basis.

Or do you have a special event coming up and just want to be and look your best? Whatever the reason, I can help! I can work with you at home, outdoors or in a quiet gym - the choice is yours.

As a personal trainer I will discuss with you what you want to achieve at your free initial consultation. The objective is to work together to be successful in achieving both your short-term and long-term goals. This may be through deploying specific and individualised fitness programs involving a range of fitness components, as well as nutritional advice and introducing lifestyle changes.

I will provide both guidance and support throughout, whether you are a complete beginner or looking to make changes. I can provide you with the knowledge and understanding that fitness is an essential part of your life and works in conjunction with nutrition. The aim is to make every session challenging but enjoyable for you. Then you will be successful in achieving your desired goals, so that you can continue and improve your fitness further with or without support.

About Fitness Finesse Personal Training Services

I am a mature, enthusiastic individual, who enjoys keeping fit and healthy through regular exercise and sensible eating. I believe in maintaining good body form, whilst improving overall health and well-being and therefore life-expectancy.

I am very passionate about providing my clients with the necessary knowledge, skills and understanding of health and well-being, to enable them to achieve their goals and provide them with a new lease of life.

It is my belief that regular exercise sessions, along with good sensible eating habits, are the foundations of a healthy lifestyle. Nobody can look good by carrying out exercise alone if they don’t eat properly. Nobody can look good from eating sensibly alone if they don’t exercise. Exercise and diet form a combination that works together, enhancing health and well-being. There is no quick fix to looking good or feeling good about yourself, you have to make the necessary small changes that eventually become habits for life.

Personal Training sessions cover a range of fitness components with many added health benefits: for example, weight loss, which can reduce the everyday stresses, placed upon the body and thereby alleviate health problems such as asthma, high blood pressure and aching joints. Resistance training helps burn unwanted fat and tone up muscle to enhance the metabolism. Cardiovascular training improves blood circulation, the release of endorphins (happy hormones) and leads to regular bowel movements and the overall health of the heart and lungs, whilst flexibility can increase the range of motion of the joints.

As a Personal Trainer I have a documented policy explaining my services, cost cancellations, length of contract and emergency procedures. I will also require a medical clearance form to be completed (if necessary) before working with you.

"I arrived at Amanda’s door in poor health, the climax of which was a stroke. Luckily, I recovered from the initial loss of my left side. Warned that I was at a high risk of having another stroke, I was bluntly told to lose weight, strongly advised to change my diet, NOT work, exercise and learn to relax. Having no desire to have another stroke and knowing my bad habits may linger, I sort help and luckily, and only by chance, I found Amanda on a website.

At first I was very apprehensive and felt uncomfortable with Amanda’s forthright attitude, coupled with the feeling I was making a big mistake. All gym stuff was utterly alien to me. But Amanda began advising me on dietary issues; foods to avoid and alternative foods. ‘You need to lose 5 stone’ she had said at the start. That sounded rather ridiculous, so I just laughed it off. But, when I thought it over, the prospect of changing all these bad habits was daunting and would be a major challenge. Yet, with her assistance I’ve managed to completely change the way I eat. I’m not on a diet, I eat differently! And along with a range of exercises I feel more energetic and have been able to reduce my medication. I no longer fall over. And now 10 months on and 4 stone lighter, I find myself smiling, it just seems surreal. Yes, it has taken some effort to drop my bad habits and adopt a healthier lifestyle. My motivation was/has been to avoid another stroke and to date I’ve had no reoccurrence. I continue to work and even manage a bit of relaxation.

I have been seeing Mandy twice a week and it is a bit more expensive than a standard gym but nothing else has worked as well for me and what better way to spend my money than on my health and fitness. I’ve been training with Mandy for about a year and a half now and can honestly say that without her help and encouragement I would not have improved my health and fitness to where I am today. I’ve tried and failed numerous times on my own in the past because I didn’t know what I was doing both in terms of exercise and diet, and didn’t have anybody to motivate me.
